建構主義-近側發展區間 (Zone of proximal development)

　　近側發展區間 (zone of proximal development，簡稱ZPD)是維高斯基(Vygotsky)所提出的理論。簡單地說，就是實際能力與在專家輔助下所能達到能力，這兩者之間的差距。

　　維高斯基認為，在ZPD學習時，如果有老師輔助(teacher guidance)或透過同儕合作(peer collaboration)，成效會更好。(如果能在最小的ZPD學習，將會更有成效)

　　其實在語言教學中也是如此。在自然教學法(natural approach)的理論中(theory of learning)，有一個input hypothesis:

People acquire language best from messages that are just slightly beyond their current competence. (The input hypothesis)

　　說白了，這其實也就是ZPD，要在最小的ZPD裡面學習。
